    “Sehr kleiner und ruhiger Ort mit einigen Restaurants und einem mittelgroßen Supermarkt (großer Markt am Ortseingang von Ubrique, etwa 15 Autominuten entfernt). Gut geeignet für Wanderungen (der Wanderweg nach Benamahoma ist sehr zu empfehlen). Sehr sehenswert auch der botanische Garten.”

    “Die Lage im Naturschutzgebiet Sierra de Grazalema ist ideal für Naturfreunde und Wanderer. Die umliegenden Berge sind nicht sehr hoch, aber steil und bieten tolle Felsformen. An den Hängen wachsen dichte Igeltannen- und Korkeichenwälder; wir waren im Frühling da und hatten eine herrliche Blumenpracht: Ginster, Mohn, Iris, Glockenblumen, wilde Pfingstrosen ... wir haben Adler, Geier und Bergziegen beobachte. Getgen Süden läuft das Gebirge in eine sanfte Hügellandschaft aus; es gibt mehrere Stauseen, leider nicht zum Baden.
    Das hübsche Örtchen El Bosque ist klein, aber lebendig und vom Tourismus noch relativ unberührt. Es gibt einen recht gut ausgestatteten Supermarkt, Bäckerei, Metzgerei und immerhin fünf Gaststätten vor Ort; unser Favorit direkt am Dorfplatz ist gut und günstig (Menü inkl. Getränk 8 Euro, Stand Mai 2013). Ausflüge nach Ronda (55 km) und Arcos de la Frontera (ca. 35 km) sind sehr lohnend. Nachtleben, größere Sehenswürdigkeiten oder kulturelle Highlights gibt es in El Bosque nicht, dafür muss man ein gutes Stück Auto fahren.”
