Luxurious holiday villa with a pool and panoramic views of the Mediterranean's longest bay; an ideal location for a relaxing holiday

This house, built in 2003, boast a pool and sits on a spacious hillside property with an old tree population, in the quiet "Els Grecs" neighbourhood on the edge of town. Enjoy a relaxing holiday in a sunny location and panoramic views of the town and the largest bay in the Mediterranean. The town is located on the Costa Brava in north eastern Spain, near the French border and near numerous natural reserves.

The balcony gives way to an outdoor staircase, which leads to the ground floor patio, the pool area and the garden of the 1000 m² property. Relax in the garden or enjoy a dip in the pool. The 2020 newly built family-friendly pool (7m x 4m, 120 cm - 170 cm deep) is surrounded by a spacious sunbathing area. Enjoy the view of Roses and the largest bay of the Mediterranean Sea in a magical panoramic position. The patio is furnished with outdoor furniture; a barbecue area with sitting arrangement and a charcoal grill offers stunning views. Parking is available at the house.

The house has a total of 220 m². The three double bedrooms are located on the ground floor. Two bedrooms are furnished with two single beds (0.90 m x 2.00 m), which are combined to a double bed; the third bedroom is furnished with two single beds (0.90 m x 2.00 m). Additionally, you will find a bathroom with a shower and a toilet and an installations room in the tower. The patio on the ground floor is covered. The first floor houses the spacious living room. It is furnished with a large, round dining table, a 3-2-1 sofa/armchair, a flat screen satellite television, a fireplace and the open plan kitchen. The kitchen is furnished with a four burner glass ceramic stove, an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator and a freezer, a dishwasher and a breakfast nook. On this level, you will also find a bathroom with a shower and a balcony.

It is 1.5 km to the historic town centre with cafes, restaurants, shops, sights and ruins and the sandy beach, 3 km in length. Enjoy a walk through the fish market and to Catalonia’s most modern sports' harbour. The nearby natural reserve offers a beautiful backdrop for extended hikes. It is 13 km to the popular tourist destination of Empuriabrava. We also recommend a day trip to Girona (70 km).

In the winter of 2019/20, the pool will be replaced by a new rectangular pool of 4m width and 7.5m length. At the same time, the sunbathing area around the pool is extended generously. Since the landlords had to cut large pines for reasons of age this year (2019), the unique panoramic view over Roses and the bay of Roses has become even more impressive.

The house is almost at the top in the urbanization Els Grecs, an approach by car is an advantage. But it can also be done without: On foot you can reach the bus station in 10 minutes with direct connections to Figueres (railway connection, Dali Museum) and Barcelona, as well as to Cadaqués (famous fishing village with Salvador Dali studio), in 20 minutes you are on the beach in Roses. A taxi up after a grocery purchase is recommended (very cheap!).

    “Er waren wat punten die aan vervanging toe waren. We zaten op een berg die 151 meter hoog was, waardoor we een adembenemend uitzicht hadden. Het was er schoon. De slaapkamers zijn beneden en dat had een voordeel, het bleef er lekker koel. Het zwembad was heerlijk, alleen het trapje was een beetje onhandig. En de afspraak met de sleutel was ook prima geregeld. Wij hebben erg genoten.”
